People: Faculty Profiles: Dr. Paula Robison

Dr. Paula Robison

Dr. Paula Robison received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. Her interests are in twentieth and twenty-first century world literature, particularly fiction. She regularly teaches courses in modern British fiction, the modern novel, and postcolonial literature. She has designed and taught new courses in modern world literature, including Recent Nobel Prize Winners in Literature; International Modernism; Migrant Writers; Travel Literature; International Women's Writing; Contemporary Anglophone Fiction; and Anglophone Magical Realism.

Dr. Robison has served as the Director of Undergraduate Studies in English; Advising Coordinator for the English Department; Faculty Advisor in the College of Liberal Arts; and a member of the CLA Committee on Instruction, as well as numerous other Department and College committees. She has taught at Temple's Rome campus, in the University Honors Program, and in the Women's Studies Program. She currently directs the English internship program and is the College of Liberal Arts advisor at Temple's Center City campus. In 2001 she received the first College of Liberal Arts Distinguished Advising Award.
