Publications: Schuylkill

Schuylkill is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary graduate journal supported by Temple University. Schuylkill was founded in 1996 by Temple Ph.D. candidate Elizabeth Abele and produces two issues annually, in addition to hosting a spring graduate conference (free to both presenters and public). Schuylkill's critical work is indexed by the MLA International Bibliography.

Schuylkill invites submissions of poetry, fiction, translations, critical and pedagogical essays, creative criticism, illustrations, and photography (maximum 5,000 words; shorter articles and stories welcome). While in the past, much work has come from Temple University's Departments of English and Religion, other disciplines and perspectives are warmly invited. Deadlines for submissions are December 10 for the spring issue and May 1 for the fall issue.

As a journal with a regional focus, Schuylkill particularly welcomes work from graduate programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Preference is always given to work that appeals to a wide academic audience. Correspondence and submissions can be sent to:
